You can also book online and pay the full amount only at pick-upwithout prepayment and without blocking any amount on your card.

How do I find you after landing at the airport?

Our staff member will be waiting for you at the airport exit with a “CretanCars” sign, according to your flight schedule. Your advantage: no shuttles, no queues, and no waiting time — you can start your trip immediately and stress-free. Even if your flight is delayed, there are no extra charges and no cancellation: we track your flight and wait for you based on the actual arrival time.

What is required for vehicle pick-up?

To pick up your car, you only need your valid driving licence and passport or ID card. If you complete the online check-in in advance, you will receive the keys without waiting and can start your holiday right away. Since full insurance is included, there is no long handover procedure — saving time and making everything simple and easy.

How do I receive the car at my hotel or apartment?

We deliver the vehicle to your hotel parking area, and our staff member will meet you at the time you selected during booking at the reception. Your advantage: you don’t need to go anywhere — the handover takes place comfortably on site. If your hotel or apartment does not have private parking, that is not a problem: we will find a nearby parking spot and meet you at the hotel reception or the main entrance.

How does the vehicle return work?

For hotel returns, simply park the vehicle in a nearby parking space and leave the key at the receptionno waiting and no personal handover required. For airport returns, park the vehicle and drop the key into the key box. Your advantage: returns are possible 24/7 — even at night or early in the morning. Please return the car with the same fuel level as when you received it. If you booked the "Full tank at pick-up and empty at return" option, you can return the car with any remaining fuel level — especially convenient on departure day.

What should I do in case of an accident or if damage is found on the vehicle?

Please contact us immediately by phone using the number provided in your rental agreement and send us a few photos via WhatsApp. This allows us to assist you quickly and arrange the next steps right away. In case of major damage, please wait for the insurance representative; afterwards, if needed, we will arrange a replacement vehicle immediately. For minor damage without third-party involvement, it is enough to inform us via WhatsApp with several photoswithout waiting for the insurance representative.

What should I do if a tyre is damaged or the vehicle has a technical breakdown?

Please contact us immediately — we will send roadside assistance right away. In case of a technical problem, we will immediately replace the vehicle with one from the same or a higher category, so your trip can continue without long delays. If you have a tyre damage, you can either change it yourself using the spare wheel or wait for our roadside assistance. If you change it yourself, please inform us briefly so we can document everything correctly.

Can I pick up the vehicle in one location and return it in another?

Yes, you can pick up the vehicle in one location and return it in another — usually without any extra charge. A minimum rental duration applies depending on the region so that we can organise the logistics reliably. For Heraklion (within an 80 km radius): minimum 4 days. For Chania (within a 40 km radius): minimum 6 days. For Myrtos, Sitia, Plakias, Palaiochora, Moires, Hora Sfakion, Agia Galini, Makry Gialos, Kolymvari (within a 20 km radius): minimum 8 days.

What are the earliest and latest pick-up times?

The earliest vehicle pick-up time is 07:30, and the latest is 23:30. Pick-up outside these hours is possible for an additional fee: at Heraklion Airport €25, and at Chania or Sitia Airports €45. Your advantage: you remain flexible even with very early or late flights. Vehicle return is available 24/7 — at any time and without a personal handover.

Is it allowed to take the vehicle on a ferry or leave Crete?

Without written permission, it is not allowed to take the vehicle on a ferry or leave the island of Crete. This protects you, as insurance and roadside assistance are subject to specific rules. If the vehicle is used outside Crete without prior notice and written approval, a contractual penalty may apply and further use of the vehicle may be prohibited. If you are planning to travel outside Crete, please contact us in advance — we will be happy to check whether approval is possible.

I have rented with you before — can I get a discount?

Yes, of course. All our returning customers receive a loyalty discount. To use the discount, simply enter the same email address that you used for your previous booking. The loyalty discount is applied automatically during the booking process.
In addition, our returning customers enjoy extra benefits: you can book your rental car without prepayment and receive the discount directly on the total price.
